Wilderness and Environmental Medicine Academy Awards
General Nomination Guidelines
All awards will be presented as certificates, with the exception of the Wilderness Medicine Innovative Leader Development (WILD) Award, which will include both a certificate and a physical award.
Nominations may be submitted by any WEMA member on behalf of another member or by individuals on their own behalf.
Each nomination should include a brief paragraph explaining why the nominee is deserving of the award.
Wilderness Medicine Innovative Leader Development (WILD) Award
This award recognizes a WEMA member who has demonstrated innovation and creativity in wilderness medicine education or research.

This award recognizes a WEMA member who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to wilderness medicine education through teaching and educational development, with a significant impact on learners.

This award recognizes a WEMA member who has demonstrated a commitment to advancing and disseminating knowledge in wilderness medicine through scholarly activity, including, but not limited to, textbook chapters, peer-reviewed publications, and non-peer-reviewed publications.

This award recognizes a WEMA member who has demonstrated outstanding mentorship and a commitment to supporting the professional development of junior faculty, fellows, residents, or medical students.
