Committees play a vital role in advancing CDEM's mission. Considering joining one of CDEM's committees and take part in furthering vision and objectives of CDEM!

Career Development & Mentorship

The CDEM Career Development & Mentorship Committee is committed to empowering emergency medicine (EM) educators by providing structured support, guidance, and resources at every stage of their academic journey. The committee leads the development of a comprehensive mentorship program for clerkship directors, UME, GME, and Fellows, ensuring they receive early and effective support as they step into leadership roles.

Curriculum & Assessment

The CDEM Curriculum & Assessment Committee develops M1/M2, M3, and M4 content, and develops questions for the SAEMTests resource.

Grants & Awards

The CDEM Grants & Awards Committee receives award nominations, selects potential recipients, and recommends them to the Executive Committee for final approval. Awards granted include: the CDEM Clerkship Director of the Year, CDEM Young Educator of the Year, CDEM Distinguished Educator Award, CDEM Awards for Innovation in Medical Education, CDEM Clerkship Coordinator of the Year, and the CDEM Longevity Award.
