Recognizes a senior medical student or resident who has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and teaching in emergency medicine.

Provides scholarship support for a medical student pursuing education and professional development opportunities.
AGEM Medical Student Scholarship
Supports a medical student's participation in SAEM and the Annual Meeting while encouraging interest in geriatric emergency medicine.
AGEM Trainee Scholarship
Provides support for eligible trainees, including medical students, to participate in an educational, research, conference, or other experience related to geriatric emergency medicine.
AWAEM/RAMS Medical Student and Intern Award
Recognizes medical students and interns who demonstrate promise and achievement within emergency medicine.
GEMA Outstanding Medical Student/Resident Award

AGEM Resident Member Scholarship
Supports resident participation in SAEM and the Annual Meeting while encouraging involvement in geriatric emergency medicine.
AGEM Trainee Scholarship
Provides support for eligible trainees, including residents, to participate in an educational, research, conference, or other experience related to geriatric emergency medicine.
AWAEM Resident Travel Award
Provides support for a resident to participate in professional development and Annual Meeting activities.
AWAEM/RAMS Medical Student and Intern Award
Recognizes medical students and interns who demonstrate promise and achievement within emergency medicine.
CDEM Resident Teacher Award
Recognizes emergency medicine residents who demonstrate excellence in teaching and precepting medical students.
Medical Student Excellence in Emergency Medicine Award
SAEM is pleased to sponsor the Medical Student Excellence in Emergency Medicine Award. This award is made available to each medical school to select a senior medical student who has demonstrated excellence in the specialty of emergency medicine.
GEMA Outstanding Medical Student/Resident Award
Recognizes an outstanding medical student or resident for contributions and interest in global emergency medicine.

Provides support for an eligible resident or fellow with an interest in simulation to attend the SAEM Annual Meeting.

Recognizes an outstanding resident for achievement and involvement in wilderness and environmental medicine.
Fellow Awards & Scholarships
SAEM Fellow Awards
Recognize outstanding fellows who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the field in the areas of education and research. Recipients will have shown a significant dedication to their subspecialty which may be demonstrated through teaching recognition, awards, grant-funding, publications, involvement in innovative educational curricula, and regional or national presentations. Recipients may also have demonstrated research excellence via key participation in, presentation of, and publication of impactful research.

Recognizes an emergency medicine ultrasound fellow for excellence in education.
AEUS Fellow Research Award
Recognizes an emergency medicine ultrasound fellow for excellence in research.
AGEM Fellow Member Scholarship
Supports fellow participation in SAEM and the Annual Meeting while encouraging involvement in geriatric emergency medicine.
CDEM Medical Education Fellow Travel Scholarship
Provides travel support for eligible medical education fellows to attend the SAEM Annual Meeting and participate in CDEM activities.

Simulation Academy Trainee of the Year Award
Recognizes an emergency medicine resident or simulation fellow who has demonstrated exceptional achievement and involvement in simulation.

Provides support for an eligible resident or fellow with an interest in simulation to attend the SAEM Annual Meeting.
Before You Apply
Eligibility and requirements vary by award. Some Academy awards require current membership in the Academy presenting the award, and some scholarships have separate applications and deadlines from the general SAEM and Academy Awards nomination cycle.
