AGEM Trainee Scholarship
2026 Application Deadline: February 15, 2026
Purpose: To grow the pipeline of emergency medicine professional trainees interested in geriatric care, AGEM is sponsoring a medical student, resident or other trainee (for example, post-doctoral student) interested in completing a geriatric emergency medicine experience. Experience is defined widely but we anticipate it will be a dedicated geriatric emergency medicine away rotation, research experience or special conference attendance. We anticipate the funds would be used to pay for recipient housing, travel, resources (data access, software), or course costs. However, the sky is the limit and if you have another great idea, it will be considered!
Award: $1500
Application consists of:
- One page letter of intent that should include:
- proposed geriatric emergency medicine experience
- purpose of funds
- how the experience will help the recipient’s career in geriatric emergency medicine
- Current curriculum vitae and contact information.
- Letter of support from the applicant's Dean or another official in their school for medical students, letter from the Program Director for residents, or letter from the appropriate supervisor for other trainees assuring the applicant the time to participate in the proposal.
