Automatic 6-month Extensions for SAEMF Grantees

The SAEM Foundation recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a significant effect on emergency care and emergency care research.

First and foremost, we are concerned about the safety and welfare of all who would be participating in SAEM Foundation-funded research.

Second, we understand that as investigators and clinicians, you have significant demands on your time that make conducting research difficult right now. For this reason, the SAEM Foundation is offering an automatic six-month extension to all SAEM Foundation grantees. Congratulations on being selected for funding! As an SAEM grantee, we would like you to keep us up-to-date on the development of your grant project. Progress reports and final reports are required of all grantees. Submit all reports on or before the deadline to Please consult your award letter and grant agreement for further instructions on progress reports. 


Typically reports are due at 6 and 12 months for one year grants, and at 12 and 24 months for two year grants. Specific reporting deadlines are outlined in your grant agreement signed by your institution's authorized signing official.
