AGEM Committees

One of the primary ways AGEM members can play an active role in charting the course of their academy, and thereby contributing to the advancement of geriatric emergency medicine, is by joining one of AGEM's committees. Didactics Committee

The AGEM Didactics Committee prepares lecture proposals for the SAEM Annual Meeting and identifies/organizes proposals for other AGEM-relevant meetings. It also develops collaborative didactic opportunities with other SAEM academies and prepares, oversees, and develops webinars throughout the year.

Grants & Awards Committee

The AGEM Grants & Awards Committee oversees the announcements and advertising for all AGEM grants and awards, organizes the scoring and selection process for all grants and awards, and assesses the needs of members to guide the development of new grants and awards to curate opportunities with a focus on research funding.

Membership & Communications Committee

The AGEM Membership & Communications Committee oversees and updates the AGEM website and social media accounts, produces the quarterly AGEM newsletter, oversees the monthly Author spotlight, and identifies strategies to recruit new AGEM members and retain existing members.
