Dr. Milam grew up and attended medical school in Indiana at IU School of Medicine, where she went to Kenya for two months as a student, solidifying her interst in Global Health. She went to residency at Carolinas Medical Center follow by a fellowship in Global Emergency Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she is now faculty and part of the divison of Global EM. Her focuses include educaiton and capacity building.
