Eisha Chopra, MD
Thomas Jefferson University
Dr. Chopra is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She was previously a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM), where she served as the assistant Director of Simulation Education. She is originally from New Jersey, where she completed both her undergraduate and medical education at Rutgers University. She completed her emergency medicine residency at JHUSOM. As part of her PGY4 Focused Advanced Specialized Training (FAST) fellowship, she developed her interests in resident medical education and simulation education under the guidance of Dr. Linda Regan and Dr. Julie Rice. She was the inaugural recipient of the department’s Chaz N. Schoenfeld, M.D. Educational Scholars Award for her FAST program. She has also completed the Academic College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Teaching Fellowship and the Healthcare Simulation Essentials course through the Center for Medical Simulation.

Fred Wu, MHS, PA-CUCSF Fresno
Fred Wu, MHS, PA-C has been an emergency medicine PA for 20 years. He is the founding program director of the Emergency Medicine PA Residency at the University of California San Francisco – Fresno and the Lead APP in the Department of Emergency Medicine. In addition to his clinical duties, Mr. Wu is also an educator and researcher with professional interests in medical education, EMS, wilderness medicine and emergency department operations.

Jamie Aranda is an assistant professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and a medical director for Froedtert Hospital Emergency Department in Milwaukee, WI. She is an instructor for the Health Executive Administrative Leadership Fellowship at MCW. She is also the System Director for Advanced Practice Providers in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the inaugural Medical Director for the Physician Associate Program. Areas of interest include clinical pathways, patient flow, and resident, fellow, APP, medical, and PA student education.

Sharon Chekijan, MD, MPH
Yale School of Medicine
Dr. Chekijian joined the Yale School of Medicine faculty in 2007 where she works full time as an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She is faculty member in the Section of Global Health and International Emergency Medicine as well as in the Section of Administration. She has served as the inaugural Medical Director of patient experience since 2011. She is also the Medical Director of the Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner group in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Chekijian is a seasoned educator and is the founding Medical Director of the APP residency program which admitted its 1st cohort in 2015. She completed the Yale Medical Education Fellowship in 2014.
Her research interests lie in global emergency medicine and include emergency care systems' development in low and middle-income countries, unintentional injury prevention in low and middle-income countries, as well as stroke and cardiac care in low and middle-income countries. Dr. Chekijian has led and participated in projects in the Republic of Armenia, Uganda, and Iraq. She has consulted for the World Bank and the US Department of State. She is an active member of the Stroke Initiative Advisory Task-Force for Armenia (SIATA). Dr. Chekijian was awarded a Fulbright in 2020 for her work to improve emergency care in Armenia by the establishment of a new emergency medicine residency program in cooperation with the National Institutes of Health of Armenia and supported from a research standpoint by the School of Public Health at the American University of Armenia.
She is deeply committed to patient experience, communication and humanism in medicine. Dr. Chekijian co-produced a film that addresses human rights as it relates to the Armenian Genocide of 1915 under the working title “The Hidden Map” that premiered at the Toronto Pomegranate Film Festival in 2019. -
Christopher J. Nash, MD, MEdAssistant Professor, Emergency Medicine

Christopher J. Nash, MD, MEd, is an assistant professor and core faculty in the department of emergency medicine (EM) at Duke University. He completed a fellowship in medical education at Mass General and pursued additional training through the SAEM ARMED MedEd program. He previously served as a Fellow Editor-in-Training for AEM Education & Training and is currently a fellow in the NBME SEEF program. His work focuses on the intersection of technology, education, and innovation, leveraging AI, simulation, and emerging digital tools to enhance clinical training and assessment. He leads several innovative research initiatives that bridge academic theory with frontline practice.

She has a Master's in Public Health with a focus on environmental health policy and is in charge of the University of Michigan Emergency Department Green Team.

John Dickens, MD, MBA is a third-year Emergency Medicine resident at McGaw Medical Center/Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He attained his MD and MBA degrees from the University of Louisville in his hometown of Louisville, KY. Prior to his medical education, Dr. Dickens worked as a project manager for large healthcare corporations including Epic Systems and Humana where he worked with the company’s Digital Health & Analytics group. Dr. Dickens has worked in various roles with SAEM including Medical Student Ambassador for the SAEM Annual Conference, Resident Liaison for the Informatics, Data Science, & Artificial Intelligence Interest Group, member of the RAMS Nominating Committee, Member-at-Large of the RAMS Board, and RAMS Board Representative to the SAEM Awards Committee. His research and academic interests are primarily in the development and implementation of emerging technologies in the Emergency Department and in new models of Care Management including Point-of-Care diagnostic tools, Remote Patient Monitoring, and Hospital-at-Home initiatives.

Dr. Dash is an emergency medicine physician. He delivers care in the Stanford Health Care level 1 trauma center. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. He received fellowship training in clinical informatics at Stanford Health Care. He earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Harvard University. His research interests include computer vision and natural language processing. He is also interested in quality assurance and quality improvement in digital health initiatives.

Mary McLean is an Assistant Residency Director for the AdventHealth East Orlando EM Residency Program, and an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency and Internal Medicine for the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She originally hails from Portland, Oregon, and completed her medical education at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine and St. John’s Riverside Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Her professional interests include medical education, research, scholarly activity, public speaking, leadership and advocacy, bias, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has spoken nationally and internationally on the medical management of cardiac, neurologic, OB/GYN, neurologic, and traumatic emergencies, as well as on medical education and career development topics. Outside of work, she enjoys documentaries, animals, travel, and being a foodie.

Selin T. Sagalowsky, MD, MPHDr. Selin T. Sagalowsky is the Vice Chair for Education, Scholarship, and Academic Development for the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Her academic work focuses on curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; competency-based and precision medical education; inclusion and wellness in medical education; and patient- and family-centered communication in the Emergency Department. Dr. Sagalowsky has served on and led working groups and committees for the advancement of competency-based education regionally and nationally, including: the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s subspecialty Milestones 2.0 for Pediatric Emergency Medicine; the Association of American Medical College’s Core Entrustable Professional Activities Pilot Program Working Group; and the American Board of Pediatrics’ Committee to map EPAs to Milestones. Clinically, Dr. Sagalowsky practices pediatric emergency medicine, with a particular interest in acutely ill children with rare and medically complex underlying conditions. She is also passionate about improving public health through emergency department initiatives, and on promoting patient- and family-centered communication in emergency care.
