    There is bias in medical education, yet many educators are unaware of the extent of bias that currently exists. Addressing bias is key and crucial to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in medicine. A collaboration of ADIEM and the Equity and Inclusion Education Subcommittee, the session will discuss how medical educators can advocate for changes in curricula, evaluation, and recommendations systems to mitigate bias. The didactic will include discussions about implicit/unconscious bias; leaky pipeline; recruitment and faculty development without intentionality; bias in faculty evaluations; benefits of diverse representation; and race-based medicine.     Acute agitation is a behavioral emergency that is very common in patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorders; it presents along a spectrum from mild to severe, with most behavioral signs consistent with mild to moderate agitation. However, if escalated, agitation poses a potential safety risk to staff and patients.
