Jennifer A. Newberry, MD, JD, MSc

Stanford University Department of Emergency Medicine

Jennifer A. Newberry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University. She completed her medical and law degrees at the University of Chicago and her Masters in Epidemiology and Clinical Research at Stanford University. Her research focuses on help-seeking and services use by vulnerable populations, including in the global health setting and in intimate partner violence. Her current R01 seeks to improve mental health help-seeking in the Latinx population using a community-engaged approach and partnering with promotores.

Erin McDonough, MD

University of Cincinnati

Dr. McDonough is the Residency Program Director and Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her medical school education at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, graduating in 2004. She then trained at the University of Cincinnati, completing her Emergency Medicine residency training in 2008 (serving as Chief Resident in 2007-2008) and then a Neurocritical Care and Neurovascular Emergencies Fellowship in 2010. After training, she joined the faculty at UC as an Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. She has served as Program Director since 2017.

Tehreem Rehman, MD, MPH, MBA

Mount Sinai Hospital

I am an Assistant Professor, Clinical Informaticist and Assistant Medical Director at Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine with expertise in AI-augmented clinical pathways and operations.

Through EHR-embedded and AI-augmented CDS, I strive to minimize provider cognitive burden and variation in resource utilization while optimizing throughput and adherence to evidence-based guidelines. I am also invested in strengthening community-based partnerships and health information exchange infrastructure to deliver patient-centered care addressing health-related social needs.

I serve on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Technical Expert Panels on national quality measures for emergency medicine. Through the American College of Emergency Physicians, I am Vice Chair of the Health Innovation Technology Committee and lead the workgroup on alternative payment models for the Reimbursement Committee. My work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and Pfizer. I am on the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine editorial board and have published in peer-reviewed journals such as Annals of Emergency Medicine, the Journal of Public Health Management & Practice, and the Journal of the National Medical Association.

Matthew Malone, MD

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

I am an Assistant Clerkship Director for the Emergency Medicine Clerkship at Ohio State and also part 3 (4th year of medical school) Expert Educator for 4 years. I work as a personal and professional Coach for medical students and teach pre-clinical doctoring. My research focus is assessment of Entrustable Professional Activities using Veality Simulation.
