Paul Biddinger, MDMassachusetts General Brigham
Dr. Paul Biddinger is the Chief Preparedness and Continuity Officer at Mass General Brigham in Boston. He holds the Ann L. Prestipino MPH Endowed Chair in Emergency Preparedness and is also the Director of the Center for Disaster Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Dr. Biddinger additionally serves as the Director of the Emergency Preparedness Research, Evaluation and Practice (EPREP) Program at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health and holds appointments at Harvard Medical School and at the Chan School. Dr. Biddinger serves as a medical officer for the MA-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) in the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) in the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Dr. Biddinger is an active researcher in the field of emergency preparedness and has lectured nationally and internationally on topics of preparedness and disaster medicine. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters on multiple topics related to disaster medicine and emergency medical operations and has responded to numerous prior disaster events, including Hurricane Katrina, Superstorm Sandy, the Boston Marathon bombings, the Nepal earthquakes, and many others.
He completed his undergraduate study in international relations at Princeton University, attended medical school at Vanderbilt University, and completed residency training in emergency medicine at Harvard. -
Kinjal N. Sethuraman, MD, MPHUniversity of Maryland
Dr. Sethuraman is the Medical Director of the Center for Hyperbaric and Dive Medicine at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at The University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is a practicing emergency medicine physician at the University of Maryland Medical Center where she teaches medical students and residents . Her research interest includes hyperbaric oxygen as a treatment for carbon monoxide toxicity, radiation injury, decompression illness, ophthalmic conditions, traumatic brain injury and necrotizing soft tissue infections. She engages in basic science research related to hyperbaric medicine. In addition, Dr. Sethuraman is a gender equity researcher. Her area has specifically focused on gender equity in emergency medicine.

Erica Shaver, MDWest Virginia University Health Sciences
Dr. Erica Shaver has been the Residency Program Director and Vice Chair of Education and Training at West Virginia University Health Sciences since 2014. She is a native West Virginian, attending Marshall University for her undergraduate and medical school educations, respectively, and completing residency at West Virginia University. She has spearheaded multiple SAEM and CORD projects throughout the years, and her most recent scholarly work centers around medical student advising and the residency application process. She is passionate about academic Emergency Medicine and residency leadership, and works tirelessly in her role to ensure residents are trained to practice competently and independently in any practice setting. She places an emphasis on both personal and professional development for her residents during their training, with an eye on resident wellness and morale always.
