    I am an Assistant Professor, Clinical Informaticist and Assistant Medical Director at Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine with expertise in AI-augmented clinical pathways and operations.

    Through EHR-embedded and AI-augmented CDS, I strive to minimize provider cognitive burden and variation in resource utilization while optimizing throughput and adherence to evidence-based guidelines. I am also invested in strengthening community-based partnerships and health information exchange infrastructure to deliver patient-centered care addressing health-related social needs.

    I serve on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Technical Expert Panels on national quality measures for emergency medicine. Through the American College of Emergency Physicians, I am Vice Chair of the Health Innovation Technology Committee and lead the workgroup on alternative payment models for the Reimbursement Committee. My work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and Pfizer. I am on the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine editorial board and have published in peer-reviewed journals such as Annals of Emergency Medicine, the Journal of Public Health Management & Practice, and the Journal of the National Medical Association.

    Brian J. Yun, MD, MBA, MPH serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center. Prior to this role, he was the Director of Clinical Operations of the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Department of Emergency Medicine. He is board certified in emergency medicine. Dr. Yun graduated with a MD and MBA from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he was also named to the AOA Honor Society. He has an MPH in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. After finishing his residency in emergency medicine at the combined Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency, Dr. Yun completed an Emergency Department Administration Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.

    Jamie Aranda is an assistant professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and a medical director for Froedtert Hospital Emergency Department in Milwaukee, WI. She is an instructor for the Health Executive Administrative Leadership Fellowship at MCW. She is also the System Director for Advanced Practice Providers in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the inaugural Medical Director for the Physician Associate Program. Areas of interest include clinical pathways, patient flow, and resident, fellow, APP, medical, and PA student education.

    Nancy Jacobson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009 and her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2014. She went on to complete an emergency medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, graduating in 2017. She splits her clinical practice between Froedtert Hospital and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. She is committed to improving patient quality safety and experience in the Department of Emergency Medicine, as well as being dedicated to resident education and wellbeing. Since 2017, she has served as the faculty co-chair of the Medical College of Wisconsin Emergency Medicine Resident Wellness Committee, and has published on workplace motivators and operational factors supporting physician wellness. She currently serves and the Medical College of Wisconsin System Director for Quality, Safety, and Experience; a Froedtert Hospital Emergency Department Medical Director, and a course co-director for the Medical College of Wisconsin Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Pathway. She is Department of Emergency Medicine Core Faculty and involved in resident teaching. Her research interests include patient safety, diagnostic error, system of care, quality improvement, physician wellness, and qualitative research.

  • Joselyn Miller, DO

    University of Connecticut

    Joselyn Miller, DO is a PGY3 resident at the University of Connecticut Emergency Medicine Residency and incoming fellow of Emergency Medical Services at The University of Mississippi Medical Center. After recognizing the important role of telehealth in bridging the gap of communities that were traditionally underserved, she started to pursue academic opportunities to prepare and education trainees for the workforce needs. While continuing her pursuit of medical education, she has gained an immense passion for mentoring youth, serving the underserved, advocating for health equity/wellbeing, and prehospital care.

    Sehr Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She received her bachelor of science in legal studies and psychology with a certificate in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

    She received her Medical Doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Khan also completed her residency at MCW in Emergency Medicine, where she served as chief resident and completed a social emergency medicine track.

    Dr. Khan's interests include injury prevention, education and trauma informed care. As a faculty member, Dr. Khan is active within the EM Division of Global and Population Health, serving as the director of community engagement and the social emergency medicine track director. Within the medical school, Dr. Khan serves as a learning community navigator and teaches students as part of the co-director of the summer injury prevention institute. Within the Injury Control Research center, Dr. Khan is the co-director of the training and educator core as part of national CDC funding granted to the MCW Comprehensive Injury Center.

    Leon Sanchez, MD, MPH

    Dr. Leon Sanchez is currently the Chief of Emergency Medicine at the MGB Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Prior to that, Dr. Sanchez was the Vice Chair for Network Operations at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of Emergency Medicine Operations and his areas of recent focus include operational improvement, patient flow and throughput optimization, queuing, and schedule optimization.
