“Improving Diagnostic Accuracy for Older Emergency Department Patients with Suspected Pneumonia: The Role of Diagnostic Criteria and Novel Antimicrobial Peptides”
I aspire to be a national expert in geriatric emergency department with a focus in the diagnosis of infection in geriatric emergency department patients. This project builds upon my past projects and will serve as the basis for my next grant application, a K23. Ultimately, my objective is to obtain an NIH R01 award to support a multi-center trial to develop and validate a clinical tool to diagnose pneumonia in older adult emergency department patients.
