SAEM Clinician-Educator Series

These include a series of summaries, articles, and podcasts with advice, guidance, and evidence-based strategies to help medical students and residents become successful clinician educators. Topics include adult learning theory, specific teaching strategies, mentorship, feedback, online resources and podcasts, and more.

Journals and Publications

Grants and Scholarships for Academic EM Research

EMRA Simulation Research Grant: $500 (maximum) towards simulation research, students/residents/fellows are eligible. The annual deadline is early June.
ACEP/Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors (CORD) Teaching Fellowship Scholarship: graduating resident/fellows/attendings are eligible, granted tuition to attend. The deadline is a first come basis, with phase one in August and phase two in January.
SAEM Emergency Medicine Interest Group Grant: $500 to support an educational endeavor, medical student EMIGs are eligible. The annual deadline is January.
SAEM Emergency Medicine Foundation and SAEM Foundation (EMF/SAEMF) Medical Student Research Grant: $5,000 towards EM research, medical students are eligible. The annual deadline is January.
SAEMF Education Fellowship Grant: $50,000 per year for two years fellowship, senior residents are eligible. The annual deadline is August.
