Ronny Otero, MD, MSHA

Ronny Otero, MD, MSHA, is an emergency physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience and a longstanding commitment to medical education, research, and academic emergency medicine.

Dr. Otero has dedicated his career to patient care, teaching undergraduate medical students and residents, and contributing to the academic missions of his institutions through scholarship and research.

He has been actively involved in the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) since residency, serving in multiple interest groups and academies. His experience as a clinician, educator, researcher, and administrator informs his engagement with organizational initiatives and governance.

Dr. Otero is committed to advancing thoughtful, evidence-based, and equitable approaches within SAEM and contributing to collaborative solutions that support the academic emergency medicine community.
