Marianne Haughey

Professor of Emergency Medicine Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/ Northwell bio: Dr. Haughey currently serves as Associate Program Director for the EM residency at LIJ/ Northshore and is the Director of Faculty Development for the department. She completed residency at Jacobi/ Montefiore residency in 1996 and stayed there as faculty until 2016, when she left to take on the role of Residency Program Director at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. She served there until November 2019, and then joined the excellent team at Northwell. She is a founding member of CDEM (clerkship directors of emergency medicine) and recently served as an at-large member of CORD. She had the pleasure and privilege of serving as the track co-chair of the education track for MEMC (Mediterranean Emergency Medicine Conference) jointly sponsored with AAEM in 2017 and 2019. Dr. Haughey finds the mentoring she has done to be intrinsically linked to the joy she has found in her career. She has been involved in training over 500 residents and looks forward to the next class every July.
