Gita Pensa, MD

Biography

Gita Pensa, MD, is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University. Dr. Pensa is the host and editor of AEM Early Access, a research podcast of the Academic Emergency Medicine journal. She is also a regular contributor to Emergency Medicine Reviews and Perspectives (EM:RAP). At the medical school of Brown University, she serves as a Mary B. Arnold Longitudinal Mentor to over forty medical students. She speaks widely on the topic of malpractice litigation and litigation stress and is also a performance coach for physician defendants. She is the creator of the open access podcast "Doctors and Litigation: The L Word," a curriculum in the psychological and practical preparation required for physicians facing litigation.
