David T. Overton MD, MBA
Biography
David Overton, MD is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. He additionally serves as the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education.
Dr. Overton attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati. He is board-certified in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, and holds an MBA from Michigan State University.
Dr. Overton has received numerous research and service awards, has been published in a wide variety of professional journals and textbooks, and has served as a peer reviewer for a number of scientific journals.
He is active in a number of professional societies, including ACEP, SAEM, the ACGME and the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians, which he has served as President.
