Biography
Andrew Ketterer, MD, MA, is an attending physician in emergency medicine (EM). He serves as associate residency program director at Northwestern University Emergency Medicine (NUEM). He completed his residency and chief residency year at NUEM, followed by a one-year fellowship in medical education research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), and he was assistant and associate residency program director at BIDMC from 2018-2024. Dr. Ketterer obtained a Master of Arts in Medical Humanities and Bioethics concurrently with his MD at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. His academic interests lie in medical education and firearm injury reduction. Dr. Ketterer has also served as an executive board member, editor, and author for Foundations of Emergency Medicine, an online educational curriculum targeting resident learners in emergency medicine. This curriculum is currently being used by over 200 emergency medicine training programs around the world.
