SAEM Hackathon Webinar Learning Series: Honing Your Pitch

Our previous sessions of the SAEM Hackathon Webinar Learning Series have focused on developing the solution to an informatics and data science problem, but in the real world that is only half of the challenge. In this fourth and final session, we will explore how to take your solutions and models and pitch them to interested parties such as hospital or departmental leadership, grant organizations, industry partners, and investors. This session is open to anyone interested in a primer on approaching problems with an informatics lens, and is especially helpful for those who are interested in participating in the Hackathon event at SAEM26. It will be led by Tricia Smith, MD, MPH, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Emory University, where she focuses on clinical documentation innovation, digital care coordination, and electronic health record optimization - including integration with third-party applications that improve patient outcomes and reduce clinician burden.
