SAEM Hackathon Webinar Learning Series: Introduction to Agentic AI

In this second session of the SAEM Hackathon Webinar Learning Series, we will explore how agentic artificial intelligence (AI) is "changing the game" of data science and informatics. This talk will review what agentic AI can be used for, some of the best and most practical applications of agentic AI, as well as the challenges that can arise from using this new technology. This session is open to anyone interested in a primer on approaching problems with an informatics lens, and is especially helpful for those who are interested in participating in the Hackathon event at SAEM26. It will be led by Philip Jarrett, MD, MBA, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern, where he conducts research focused on the development and translation of acute care products using medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
