Reframing Conflict: How to Master Difficult Conversations in Emergency Medicine From a Sex and Gender Lens
Managing conflict is an essential skill for patient safety, career advancement, and professional satisfaction. We will focus on managing difficult conversations, including an understanding of the influence of gender in high stress communication. Via short didactics, small groups, and advice from senior leaders, participants will learn skills to reframe conflict. Participants will then write a self-reflection to future emergency medicine leaders. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to normalize conflict, redirect challenging conversations, and develop a positive-oriented stress mindset. (AWAEM Sponsored)
