“Unhewn Student Experience – Cognitive Heuristics in Emergency Clinical Knowledge" 

Andrew Monick graduated magna cum laude from the College of William & Mary and is currently pursuing an M.D. at Thomas Jefferson University. A former psychology student and technology consultant, his research interests include the optimization of clinical decision-making strategies and the influence of cognitive factors upon diagnostic reasoning. His work has been recognized by the Emergency Medicine Foundation and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine. He lives in Philadelphia with his partner and a small herd of rescue animals.
