Biography
Cherri D. Hobgood, MD, is a tenured professor and chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and founder of the Center for Leadership Life.
Dr. Hobgood earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed her emergency medicine residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.
She has held multiple leadership roles, including service as associate dean and department chair, and nationally as president of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM), president of the SAEM Foundation Board of Trustees, and chair of the American College of Emergency Physicians Board of Directors. She also serves on the executive board of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Hobgood has received national recognition for her leadership, including the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) John Marx Leadership Award and the Order of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine.
