National Grand Rounds: Senior Faculty Research Highlights

This Research Committee special session will highlight the work and career insights of established, federally funded faculty in academic emergency medicine. The goal of the session is to showcase high-impact research findings and lessons learned from senior investigators representing diverse scholarly domains. Opportunities for experienced investigators to present their most current and influential work in a single forum are uncommon, and this session is designed to address that gap.

The session will feature two established emergency medicine researchers who will each deliver a focused 20-minute presentation. Presentations will integrate late-breaking research results, innovative methodologies, and reflections on career development, funding trajectories, and sustained scholarly impact. Emphasis will be placed on rigorous methods, relevance to emergency medicine, and transferable lessons for investigators at varying career stages.

By the conclusion of the session, participants will be informed of cutting-edge research activities led by senior investigators and will gain practical insights into building and sustaining a successful research career in academic emergency medicine.
