Consensus Conference I: Rebuilding Trust and Mitigating Unreliable Information

"Developing a Research Agenda to Rebuild Trust and Mitigate the Impact of Unreliable Health Information on Emergency Care"

Monday, May 18, 2026 | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET

The 2026 Consensus Conference will explore the growing impact of health information quality on emergency care. As the volume and accessibility of health information continues to increase, so too does the need for a better understanding of how it affects patient outcomes, clinical decision-making, and public trust.

This year’s conference will unite a diverse group of stakeholders—including physicians, researchers, public health experts, and patient representatives—to evaluate the current landscape and set a 10-year research agenda. The goal is to strengthen the evidence base, inform clinical practice, and support emergency care professionals in navigating an evolving information environment.
