Federal Funding Events

Federal research funding is more competitive and complex than ever. Early preparation and a clear understanding of administrative and procedural requirements are essential for investigators seeking extramural support.

Federal program officers play a critical role in the funding process. They serve as advisers, facilitators, and advocates who help investigators:

  • Align projects with the right institutes

  • Interpret funding priorities

  • Navigate the application process

At SAEM26 in Atlanta, three dedicated program officer events will help investigators at every career stage understand how program officers influence funding decisions.

Attendees will leave with practical communication strategies and actionable guidance to strengthen future funding applications.
