Award and scholarship nominations for the will open on October 12, 2026 and close December 4, 2026.

All AEMP awards will be presented at the AEMP All-Member meeting at SAEM27 in San Francisco, California. All nominees must be a current SAEM and AMEP member. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.

 

Eligibility

  • Current SAEM and AEMP member
  • Pharmacist at any career stage who has completed residency training
  • Members of the AEMP Executive Committee, AEMP Membership Committee Chair, the AEMP awards charge lead, and those involved in scoring are ineligible
  • Ineligible for 5 years after receiving the award
  • Nominees may not receive this award and EM Pharmacist of the Year in the same year

Selection Criteria

  1. Sustained commitment to teaching, precepting, or mentoring in EM pharmacy
  2. Evidence of a meaningful impact on learners' growth, such as career development, residency or job placement, scholarly work, or leadership roles
  3. Development or improvement of educational activities, such as rotation design, residency program development, curricula, didactics, or interprofessional education in the ED
  4. Mentorship that extends beyond formal assignments, including support of students, residents, or early-career pharmacists at other institutions
  5. A record of creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
  6. A preceptor or mentor whom learners describe as having shaped their practice and career

  • Nominee’s CV
  • One nomination letter (maximum 2 pages) from a current or former learner or mentee, such as a student, resident, or early-career pharmacist
