Mzuzu Central Hospital, Mzuzu, Malawi: This government district referral hospital provides emergency, surgical, obstetric, and inpatient care to a largely rural population. Fellows serve as primary providers in a true austere, resource-limited environment.
Village Life Outreach Project, Roche, Tanzania: Since 2013, participants have engaged in mobile field clinics, worked at the Roche Health Center, and practiced alongside medical staff at Shirati District Hospital.
Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Kumasi, Ghana: This partnership with the University of Michigan involves one of Ghana’s premier teaching hospitals. Fellows rotate in a high-volume West African academic ED with an emphasis on tropical medicine, resource adaptation, and provider education.
