SAEM and the Academy of Emergency Ultrasound are committed to promoting point of care ultrasound leaders and enthusiasts at all levels of training. AEUS seeks to provide financial assistance for educational costs to medical students who have demonstrated a strong interest and commitment to point of care ultrasound. We would encourage the awarded students to attend SAEM’s annual meeting in May 2026, and we would plan to highlight them during our annual AEUS academy meeting at SAEM in Atlanta.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a current medical student (MS1 – MS4) enrolled in an accredited medical school in the United States and its territories and an SAEM member.

Financial Award

Awardee will receive a $1000 scholarship from SAEM / AEUS. The intention for this scholarship is that it will be utilized by the student to offset educational, membership and travel costs to Atlanta, Georgia for SAEM26. The awarded students will be recognized at the AEUS academy meeting in May 2026.
