This web page was designed to provide you with helpful articles, student programs, and links that should help you in your journey to a career in Emergency Medicine. You may contact Michelle Lin, MD , Chair of the Undergraduate Education Committee with any additional questions.

SAEM recognizes the valuable role of emergency medicine interest groups (EMIG's) for medical students interested in emergency medicine as a career. The Society offers grants of up to $500 each to established or developing EMIG's located at medical schools with or without emergency medicine residencies. Grant monies can be used for supplies, consultation and seed money to support activities such as skills laboratories (suturing, casting, airway etc), lectures or workshops. Grant proposals should focus on educational activities or projects related to undergraduate education in emergency medicine.
