The Association of Academic Chairs of Emergency Medicine (AACEM) is organized as a concomitant committee of SAEM. Its members comprise the chairs of autonomous academic departments of emergency medicine at U.S. and Canadian medical schools. The AACEM meets each spring at the SAEM Annual Meeting and each fall at the Annual Meeting of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
