Take and Bake: Low-cost Simulation Models and Techniques Taught by the Pros

Simulation is an established modality for teaching high acuity-low occurrence (HALO) procedures in a controlled setting that has been shown to reduce errors, thereby improving patient safety. Factors limiting widespread simulation integration include financial considerations for replacement of models and unavailability of certain procedural models. This session will teach participants to develop innovative, low-cost simulation models through demonstration of existing models. Participant responses will contribute towards the validity evidence for each model discussed.
