Decolonizing Global Emergency Medicine Taskforce

Since 2020, the main work of the DEI committee has been focused on the GEMA Decolonizing Global Emergency Medicine Taskforce. This taskforce aims to improve the recognition and understanding of pervasive inequities and colonial legacies within GEM, and create impactful and sustainable changes at the individual, institutional, domestic and international level towards the decolonization of GEM through disruption of inequities and counter-productive power dynamics.
