CDEM Mentorship Program
The Clerkship Directors in Emergency Medicine (CDEM) Career & Mentorship Committee is proud to launch the CDEM Mentorship Program. This initiative is designed to foster professional development, support educational leadership, and build meaningful connections among members of CDEM and the Education Committee.
Whether you're a seasoned educator or just starting your academic journey, this program will match mentors and mentees to encourage growth, knowledge-sharing, and advancement in undergraduate/graduate medical education.
Purpose of the Program
- Provide guidance and resources for CDEM, Education Committee, and Fellow members as they navigate and advance their academic careers.
- Offer insight into undergraduate/graduate medical education, promotion and tenure, and leadership development.
- Facilitate meaningful mentor-mentee relationships.
- Strengthen professional networks and foster community within CDEM and the Education Committee.
Eligibility
All CDEM, Education Committee, and Fellow members in good standing are invited to apply. Mentees must be at least at the Fellow level or above to participate.
Next Steps
- July 1 - September 5, 2025: Open application period.
- September 2025: The CDEM Career Development and Mentorship Committee will review applications and match mentors and mentees based on interests, goals, and experience.
- Early October 2025: Participants will receive acceptance notifications and details to begin the program.
- May 2026: Program networking event.

To be considered, all applicants must complete the official application form by September 5, 2025. The form is only accessible to members of the Education Committee, Fellows, and CDEM.
