    Stephanie Kayden, MD, MPH, is Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs and Chief of the Division of Global Emergency Care and Humanitarian Studies in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Professor of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is Deputy Editor of the Journal of Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness and editor-in-chief of the book Emergency Department Leadership and Management: Best Principles and Practice.

    As core faculty of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, she trains professionals from around the world in global health and humanitarian work. Dr. Kayden has worked to improve emergency medical systems, humanitarian aid and disaster response in more than 40 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
