Emergency Medicine X Waiver Training

Event Description

Join SAEM on June 8, 2021 for a virtual emergency medicine X-Waiver training from 12:00 - 4:00 pm Central Time. Physicians require 8 hours of training to apply for a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine, one of three medications approved by the FDA for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). This newly approved ED-specific training will provide 4 hours of online education followed by instruction to 4 hours of online directed self-study to be completed within 90 days. At the conclusion of the training, participants will be credentialed to apply for their DATA 2000 (X) waiver and prepared to manage OUD patients. Residents and students may also take this course so they are ready to apply for the waiver upon graduation. Join us on June 8th to learn from the experts who helped shape the development of this ED-specific training! Residents and students may also take this course so they are ready to apply for the waiver upon graduation.

AAAP is the DATA 2000 sponsor for this training
