Adding a Climate Lens to Academic Emergency Medicine

An interactive morning session will provide an overview on climate and health, highlight implications for disaster preparedness, and discuss current educational initiatives. Guided by a structured list of resources and literature, participants will create their ideal emergency department as it relates to climate change. Considerations will include resiliency to climate-intensified events and practice implications. In the afternoon session, panelists will share advocacy tips and small group sessions will cover a spectrum of topics: health impacts, vulnerable groups, environmental sustainability, etc.
