Join a Taskforce

Our taskforces have created some of the most successful educational content for both the AEUS community and the general global emergency medicine community. We have material for the ultrasound novice as well as experts in the field who want to learn more.

Please join our taskforces if you want to help us create future topics and offerings. Email, or fill out our google form template with topics you’d like to get involved with.

This effort is spearheaded by Dr. Meghan Herbst and features many of our members who create short videos on specific topics. These are always in production, with a few peer-reviewed topics created each year. Check out the AEUS Narrated Series to see examples. These are also viewable at

This is a pretty amazing national forum journal club that has been very popular. Led by Steve Leech, who is the current AEUS Education Officer, the past year has seen face-to-face discussions on a wide variety of topics. Every time there is a journal club hosted, authors and experts participate so that you can get to know their faces and interact with them in real time. Visit for more information.

AEUS Special Sessions (Pre-Annual Meeting Workshop):

In 2014 and 2015, AEUS was asked to hold a pre-convention workshop that were well received. In 2016, we are holding this again but in a very innovative way involving multiple academies and interest groups. We will be teaching ultrasound in live recreated scenarios, which has not been done before.
