| Evidence Based Medicine IG Goals
|

|
|
|
- Develop a variety of didactic proposals for SAEM 2009 that
reflect perceived interest within the Evidenced Based Medicine IG and needs
of the academic EM community.
- Develop a cadre of EBM experts that can represent SAEM on
a variety of guideline initiatives relevant to emergency medicine. Guideline
expertise will be developed through ongoing AGREE workshop offerings.
- Forge ahead with projects related to initiatives emerging
from the 2007 Consensus Conference on Knowledge Translation. Specifically,
this includes ongoing support from IG members in the Guideline International
Network Emergency Care interest group.
- Bolster IG membership and exchange of issues related to evidence-based
emergency medicine on our listserve.
- Advance the development, submission and appropriate evaluation
of high quality systematic reviews and shortcut reviews in emergency medicine.
