Brief description of rotation beyond the above specifics (250 words or less):

  We are pleased to offer a variety of EM student experiences. Through our affiliation with both Tulane and LSU Medical schools, as well as our visiting student rotation, we are proud to be one of the largest clerkships in the country. We offer unique and fully hands-on exposure to acute emergent and urgent care, multiple opportunities for formal and informal teaching, simulator and procedural labs and experience, and unparalleled patient exposure. For the senior student, we offer a traditional four-week rotation through all patient care areas of our ED, as well as ultrasound, hyperbarics and EM research electives

OTHER EM ROTATION ELECTIVES
Examples include preclinical procedures elective, cadaver procedures lab, wilderness medicine elective, ultrasound elective, and EMS/ disaster medicine elective.
