Describe how the residents meet the requirement of engage in scholarly activity:
No formal research or publication requirement exists, though many residents engage in a research activity. RRC research requirements are met via residents presenting a formal evidence-based lecture in Grand Rounds.
Unique attributes:
After first 6 months of internship, pediatric EM shifts are integrated in adult EM months (3-5 shifts per month). After R1 year, community ED shifts are integrated into each EM month. EMS ground shifts and Air Care aeromedical shifts are also integrated into months in the Emergency Department. Unique didactic activities: Grand Rounds are held every Wednesday from 0800-1300. Each working day in the ED begins with an Attending-driven clinical teaching case presented in the oral boards format.
