Describe how the residents meet the requirement of engage in scholarly activity: 
There are numerous ongoing faculty-driven research initiatives that residents are able to become engaged. In addition, there are multiple faculty members, incuding the Research Director, who are always available to mentor residents through their projects. Many of the faculty members also participate in writing book chapters, writing review articles and participate at regional and national organization levels. This activity allows for additional sources of involvement for the residents to complete their scholarly activity.
