Describe how the residents meet the requirement of engage in scholarly activity:
The Academic Colleges program are designed to mentor residents in their completion of the ACGME scholarly work requirement (see "Innovative Didactic Curriculum" above). Faculty and residents in each college complete projects in a collaborative group environment that mirrors a PhD works-in-progress session. Each resident is required to produce an original work that is of sufficient quality to be published. Prior examples include book chapters, review articles, abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts. Most residents are able to complete several projects during residency through the Academic Colleges program.
