Describe how the residents meet the requirement of engage in scholarly activity: 
During the PGY 2 year, each resident will complete a workbook which takes them through each step of writing a research proposal, obtaining institutional approval, and the practical aspects of performing clinical research. Residents will meet with the Research Director for one hour each month to discuss progress with the assigned reading and review written assignments.
