Describe how the residents meet the requirement of engage in scholarly activity: 
All residents will participate in three projects during their residency: one scholarly project, one education or advocacy project, and one administrative project. One of the three projects must focus specifically on aspects surrounding rural emergency medicine challenges and practice. Residents will be assigned a faculty mentor to assist in identifying areas of interest and developing appropriate project ideas.
