Newsletter Publishing Guidelines

SAEM Newsletter Submissions

SAEM invites submissions to the Newsletter pertaining to academic emergency medicine in the following areas:

• Clinical practice
• Education in EM residents, off-service residents, medical students, and fellows
• Faculty development
• Politics and economics as they pertain to the academic environment
• General announcements and notices
• Other pertinent topics

Materials may be submitted for consideration for publication in the SAEM Newsletter at newsletter@saem.org. Be sure to include the names and affiliations of authors, and a means of contact.

Submission Deadlines

Submission deadlines for articles and advertisements for the Newsletter, which is published six times a year, are as follows:

• January/February issue - December 1
• March/April issue - February 1
• May/June issue - April 1
• July/August issue - June 1
• September/October issue - August 1
• November/December issue - October 1

Advertising in the SAEM Newsletter

Advertising in the SAEM Newsletter is available to postings for fellowship and academic positions, as well as commercial advertising.

Academic Advertising Rates (full color):

• A full page AD costs $1,400.00 (camera ready, 7.5” wide x   9.75’ high)
• A half page AD costs $800.00 (camera ready, 7.5” wide x 4.75”high)
• A quarter page AD costs $550 (camera ready, 3.5” wide X 4.75” high)
• A classified AD (with 100 words or less) is $150
   

Commercial Adverising Rates (full color):

• A full page AD costs $2,000.00 (camera ready, 7.5” wide x   9.75’ high)
• A half page AD costs $1,200.00 (camera ready, 7.5” wide x 4.75”high)
• A quarter page AD costs $800 (camera ready, 3.5” wide X 4.75” high)

*Commercial advertising is subject to acceptance by SAEM.
