This award id offered to each medical school in the United States and Canada to honor an outstanding senior medical student. The is the eighth year this award has been made available. Recipients receive a certificate and one-year membership to SAEM, including subscription to the SAEM Newsletter and the Academic Emergency Medicine journal. Information about next year's Excellence in Emergency Medicine Award will be sent to all medical school dean's offices in February 2002.
