Awards Committee

About Us: 

SAEM presents awards to SAEM members to recognize excellence in our field, for contributions improving the health of society, or for academic achievements.

All nominations must be submitted electronically to miniguez@saem.org. If electronic signature is not available, please submit nomination electronically but provide one hard copy to the SAEM headquarters. (2340 S. River Road Suite 200, Des Plaines, IL 60018).

Selection Process
Nominees that are submitted will be reviewed by the Awards Committee and selected based on guidelines shown on the linked web page for each award. Pay special attention to these guidelines and especially to each submission's Due Date.

Although it is not recommended to nominate oneself, self-nominations will be accepted.

Objectives: 
  • Provide updated information at least annually to the Web Editorial Board for website posting. All members only material should also have a brief 1 paragraph public posting
  • Submit two progress reports. Due Sept 1 2011 and Feb 1 2012
  • Request and review nominations for the following awards, all due by February 1, 2012: Young Investigator Award, Leadership award, Advancement of Women, Education award, Research award, Special Recognition award and recommend candidates to the Board of Directors
  • Partner with the Social Media/Communications committee to co-post updates on the SAEM Facebook and Twitter accounts
