Pitch your research idea to the Lion’s Den panel—a group of experienced emergency medicine researchers—who, in the spirit of the popular television show “Shark Tank,” will critically discuss your project and consider investing in you and your research idea through mentorship opportunities.
Come learn more about the cutting edge field of sex and gender medicine and cheer for your favorite team as they compete against other prominent academicians to answer "jeopardy-style" questions on sex and gender.

RALF is packed with advice on transitioning out of residency and into an academic career in emergency medicine. Engage with senior leaders to develop strategies for overcoming challenges and developing leadership, wellness, and time management skills. This session features didactic presentations, interactive sessions, panel discussions, and networking sessions with resident and senior leaders in EM administration, education and research.

Whether you’re a spectator or a participant, you’ll want to be a part of the winner-take-all, no-holds-barred action as teams of emergency medicine residents in crazy costumes demonstrate their mad skills and knowledge of point-of-care ultrasound in front of hundreds of spectators to prove that they have what it takes to bring home the SonoCup. There can be only one winner. Does your team have what it takes to be the SonoChampions? Brought to you by the Academy of Emergency Ultrasound (AEUS).
This entertaining and innovative education event showcases residency teams as they demonstrate teamwork, communication skills, patient care and practice philosophies in a real-time, fast-paced simulation competition. This popular exhibit displays the best original, high-quality clinical images relevant to the practice of emergency medicine, selected from more than 120 submitted images. Residents are invited to participate in the 2017 Visual Diagnosis portion of the contest. Winners receive a one-year membership in SAEM, subscriptions to Academic Emergency Medicine and AEM Education and Training (AEM E&T) journals, a free registration to attend SAEM18 in Indianapolis, a major emergency medicine textbook, and a subscription to SAEM Pulse newsletter.
